Targeted Life Skills (TLS) Program

Empowering Minds Targeted Life Skills Program seeks to serve 120 Baltimore City students, 12 to 24 years of age, who reside in neighborhoods that disproportionately experience lack, barriers to opportunities and success, racial injustices, and the persistent systemic inequalities that significantly contribute to generational patterns of financial poverty, domestic violence, high mortality rates, and substance addiction.

In the format of semesters, youth cohorts will experience a sense of mastery and achievement as they learn the life skills needed to cope with the challenges that exist in their homes and neighborhoods.

The program is based on the Botvin Life Skills Training curriculum. Each session focuses on specific areas of life and equips participants with the necessary skills to develop healthy habits and make informed decisions.
